This new paper shows that 2,200 renewable energy facilities worldwide (17% of all facilities globally) are located in Earth's most important biodiversity areas. Another 900 facilities are currently being built - degrading habitats and threatening species. Energy developments are not compatible with biodiversity conservation and must be placed elsewhere to reduce environmental impacts. Read our paper or the press release.
