Our new paper on mountain plant biodiversity worldwide shows that plant species richness is related to current climate, geodiversity and Pleistocene climate change, and that higher diversification rates or starts of radiations are predominantly associated with the major climatic fluctuations of the late Neogene and Pleistocene.
